Screw Conveyors
mpcp has developed two distinctly different types of screw conveyors: mpcp Screw Conveyors® rated for gas temperatures up to 600 deg.F. and mpcp High-Temp Screw Conveyors® for temperatures up to 1,400 deg.F.
Design
Common to all types of mpcp Screw Conveyors®, is that they are designed to minimize wear at low rpm. This is achieved with the characteristically large diameter screws and the large pitch we use to obtain maximum material advance per revolution and minimum relative motion between the material and the screw flights.
Construction
These screw conveyors can handle extreme and if necessary, highly localized temperatures that result from the discharge of burning material into this conveyor. Among numerous other proprietary features, the design includes a double shaft arrangement that effectively separates and insulates the screw body from the screw shaft. This prevents thermal buckling or deformation of the screw body from being transferred into the drive shaft which therefore remains straight.
mpcp Screw Conveyors
mpcp Screw Conveyors® use large diameter shafts and self-tensioning packing glands to prevent air ingress even under very high negative pressures. This prevents hopper fires and extends operating time between adjustment and maintenance.
