Bark Distributors and Pulsing Dampers

mpcp Bark Distributors®
The mpcp Bark Distribution® System is designed to distribute the bark into the boiler pneumatically, utilizing the high pressure/high temperature combustion air as a
distribution medium. Each bark distributor has an adjustable table with air nozzles.
The adjustable table can be pivoted up or down to select the grate area to be covered. These distributors distribute the fuel in a fan shape on the grate and thus avoid the corn-rows that are produced by conventional bark distributors.
mpcp Pulsing Dampers®
To be able to distribute the bark evenly over the entire grate, mpcp installs Pulsing Dampers®.
Located directly below the Bark Distributors, the Pulsing Dampers® are designed to progressively reduce the air flow (pressure) to each distributor by approximately 40 percent.
This results in a pulse duration of 4 seconds every 12 seconds at a rate of 5 cycles per minute. These Dampers can span any width of furnace through a simple single shaft system.
