Carbon Re-Feeders
The back-end fly-carbon caught from the generating bank and the tubular air heater hoppers are returned to the boiler grate via two High-Temperature Carbon Re-Feed Screws
Using this method of quietly returning the fly-carbon to the grate eliminates the re-entrainment of the fly-ash and erosion, which characterize conventional re-injection methods.
The Carbon Re-Feeders are constructed of heat resistant alloy with air-cooled bearings supporting the feeder screw. Large packing glands prevent air infiltration and keep the equipment completely dust-free.
